I’m Sarah. I’m a children’s writer living in Philadelphia. I write about main characters behaving badly who you’ll fall in love with anyway, stories with everyday themes turned on their heads, stories that weave the threads of head and heart, in both fiction and non-fiction. My background is in photography, and I love to create art. While my main art form is writing, I’m passionate about all the ways it’s possible to tell a story.
I’m a member of SCBWI and I’ve attended many seminars through them, as well as Big Sur and Highlights Writers Workshops. In 2022 I was a RUCCL mentee and won a scholarship to the Middle Grade Novel workshop at Highlights Foundation, run by Erin Entrada Kelly and Laurel Snyder. In 2024 I was awarded a Silver Level scholarship to 12x12 Challenge, attended the invitation-only PJ Library PB Summer Camp and was awarded the Volemos Grant from SCBWI.
